We stayed at ESS as a TLA when we first moved to Stuttgart and it was a fantastic experience. The apartments are very conveniently located downtown near tons of restaurants and shopping as well as the U-Bahn and Sbahn. Theres a nice park right across the street for walking dogs as well as a balcony they can hang out on. The ESS team was very responsive to all of our questions and needs and they had all the things we needed for a temporary stay (laundry facilities, kitchen equipment, vacuums, etc). The apartments are modern and very nice and it was great to have separate rooms for our kids as well as two bathrooms. I highly recommend ESS for anyone PCSing in/out or anyone requiring temporary accommodations in Stuttgart. We will miss being right downtown!
